Mainly used for manufacturing magnetic materials for microwaves and important materials for applications (single crystals; composite oxides such as yttrium iron garnet and yttrium aluminum garnet), as well as optical glass, ceramic material additives, high brightness phosphors for large screen televisions, and other picture tube coatings. It is also used for manufacturing thin film capacitors and special refractory materials, as well as magnetic bubble materials for high-pressure lamps, lasers, storage components, etc.
