Antimony ore is a sulfide mineral of antimony. Containing 71.69% antimony, it is the most important ore mineral of antimony. Belongs to the orthogonal (rhombic) crystal system. Crystals are common, appearing as pointed long columns with longitudinal stripes on the surface of the columns. Complete cleavage of the board surface; Parallel horizontal stripes appear on the cleavage surface. Aggregates appear in block, granular, or radial shapes. Lead gray, metallic luster, Mohs hardness of 2, specific gravity of 4.6. Fragile in nature and easy to melt. Mainly produced in medium to low temperature hydrothermal deposits, often coexisting with realgar, and orpiment. China is the world's leading producer of antimony.
